So the Question we were asked to answer is: What are some common uses of noble gases? And here is the answer for you:
Helium is used in balloons to make them fly! Helium is also used for zepplins, oxygen tanks for divers (prevents blood bubbles, that sounds painful), supersonic wind tunnels, and gas lasers.
Neon… its used to make neon signs…
Argon is used for incandescent light bulbs and for welding (because it is nonreactive).
Krypton makes light! (fluorescent and incandescent)
Xenon is used in airports for stroboscopic lights, its also used for photographic flash equipment and radio therapy.
Radon is used for therapy, like a steam bath therapy, and for specific rare medical treatments.

Now i know how my light bulbs work! π this was a nice and to the point blog!
(sorry for the incomplete post up there. π still figuring out how this works!) Do you think Krypton inspired Kyrptonite? π
It’s interesting to know how all those noble gases are actually used for something, because I’ve always wondered what they’re used for other than in chemistry lab experiments. -Min Hwa
Bahaha I burst into laughing when I saw the description for neon!
Plus I agree with Min Hwa! I never knew how they were used and thought they wouldn’t be around me π
oh so cool. π i didn’t know that xenon is used in airports as lights
Janice: it’s interesting to know that some noble gases are used for lights. I wouldn’t have thought of relating gas with light. Good information π
um. I don’t know why my comment is posted as Stephen’s :S
Good job guys! I liked your Neon description: “Neonβ¦ its used to make neon signs…” You don’t say? π
Here is a funny Noble Gases joke: I wanted to tell a good chemistry joke, but my audience Argon! Get it? Get it? Get it? π
Esther: I didnt know that noble gas are used in many difference things! π
Its very cool to know!
i remember researching these gases for chem1! good reminder π nice
Very simple, but quite informative. Nicely done. One question. What are stroboscopic lights?
Jenny
I looked up at my light bulb while reading this. It’s great to know what chemical substances caused what in some of the objects we use or see others use.
honestly… i already knew this stuff so yeah. not very interesting to me. BUT the blog looks great π
woah… so basically all of them are used lights! I wonder how they collect the gases in the first place…
did they really forget the most important use of noble gases???? HELIUM makes your voice super high!!!!
I wouldn’t have been able to guess what are used for these items except for neon lights, that is pretty obvious. What is it about Helium preventing blood bubbles? Is that some sort of treatment or is that something we already have naturally?
Concise blog post. Short and sweet; I like! haha. My question is the same as Paul’s: what are those things? I like neon..Glass tubes are filled with neon! Can we do breathing helium thing for class?? π
